Redway Baptist Church

The Ministry of First Baptist Church Redway (FBCR), CA extends from Redway into the North Coast, throughout the Nation and around the world. Our YouTube Chanel and FaceBook Posts are followed by pastors and church leaders in Africa, Russia... and throughout the USA. We are a small church with a great outreach to train others for the work of ministry. God has equipped us and given us a pastor with a vision to serve our community and assist others in serving theirs. 

THE COMMUNITY

Our Community is heavily influenced by the needs of a substantial homeless population and an intense activist element of the marijana culture and community. These two realities are constantly intersecting with the spritual work that God has called us to accomplish here in His Name.As those that represent Christ here, we are ever to be about our Father's business. This requires that we get to know all elements of our community from the "least of these" to the business community & chamber of commerce representatives as well as the political (public servants) that seek to make all our lives better. By engaging each of these elements we seek to build spiritual and temporal bridges that will accommodate and serve all of those living in Southern Humboldt County. Our specific mission here is to GLOIRY God by teaching His Word, to GROW in community by training up genuine Christ followers, and to GO reach every person with the gospel message that Jesus is Lord and share with them that they can know Him personally.

THE NORTH COAST

First Baptist Church Redway is a member of the North Coast Baptist Association. That Association assists us by giving us many opportunities to grow in our relationship with Christ, and to servie Him through many Associational ministies. We seek to give back to the Association through the work of training pastors in the association, and throughout the North Coast, with specific Christian Apologetic tools that will assist them in their evangelism efforts and in growing their individual churches where they are planted. We seek to do this with the assistance of a grant that has been proposed to the California Baptist Foundation. As this work progresses, the plan is to train up and equip young people who will work with their individual pastors to reach directly onto the high school and college camus environments as "defenders of the faith". Defending the faith is a command given to every Christian in 1 Peter 3:15 and exampled for us by Paul in Acts 17. 

A WORLD VISION

For the last 30 years our senior pastor has traveled the world training pastors and equipping saints. From Russia to Africa, and from the South Pacific Islands to the Carribean, his work is known and appreciated. By continuing to build FBCR's technology, we commit to continue to supply those that are seeking it, an opportunity for continued Christian education. All our services are now recorded on video and posted to our YouTube Chanel and Facebook pages with links directly from our webpage. 

We further seek to expand our international ministry by forming well equipped mission teams that will GO and prepare pastors and church leaders in some of the most remote parts of the world. We begin this work locally and will expand those efforts to Southern Africa in the years to come. Please pray for this important mission outreach which we plan to begin in the last quarter of 2016.
