While serving as a Youth Pastor in Boise, the Lord prompted the heart of Jack Becker to start a non-denominational charismatic church in Ontario. At the same time, he prepared a small group of believers to seek a pastor for a church plant in Ontario. After much prayer, counsel, and confirming signs, the new church, Christian Life Fellowship, began in September of 1975.
Starting out as a Bible Study in a home, the church moved to several places as it grew until finally God opened a door for the church to settle at our current facility in 1988. There's a miracle story involved, but we'll save it for another time.
From the beginning, CLF has been a faith ministry. By faith the new building was remodeled and by faith ministry happens in this place.
The second Lead Pastor of CLF was installed in October of 2006. Doug Hezeltine, who served as an Associate/Youth Pastor since 1988, is building on the foundaiton laid by three decades of ministry.
CLF has been a place where new and inspiring things have happened; like musical outreach events, prayer counseling ministry, and community pastoral prayer and fellowship. As we move into the future, our vision is to reach and love our community through a "spirit of generosity."
Most recently, CLF has endeavored to impact our community through an outreach that involved publishing a book, it's called "A Reason for Hope." Inside you'll find seven stories of people in CLF that have been transformed by a persoanl relationship with God. The book has been distributed throughout the community and contains a clear gospel message. We gift a copy to every guest, only asking that it's given away when after reading it.
We welcome you to join us and be a part of what God is doing through this group of amazing people that make CLF a great church family to belong to.
