Why Do We Give?

We give because God owns everything. He has given us what we have. God doesn’t need our money! The Bible teaches us that where our money is, that’s where our heart is also. So, God is simply wanting us to know and understand where our heart is. To properly evaluate this, He graciously allows us to participate in His work through our giving. It is interesting that He says to give joyfully, we need to remember that heart principle, or else God doesn’t want it. So, we each need to plan how much and when we can give joyfully. Pray and ask God for guidance and for our hearts to be increasingly His.
